Hi! I’m Ria Roy, an Actuarial science student at the University of Cape Town, with an acute passion for Mathematics, Afrikaans and the Sciences.
I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and finding creative approaches to understanding complex concepts, but more than that, I find I enjoy simplifying concepts in this manner for my students. Despite my penchant for personal Academic success, I relish the success of my students to a greater degree.

Originally from Pietermaritzburg in K.Z.N, I’m currently enjoying the breathtaking sights, sounds and rich cultural heritage of Cape Town, where I spend most of the year.
In addition to my studies, I love reading and painting. Incidentally these hobbies have helped me bring a fresh perspective to teaching.

Whether it’s breaking down tricky equations (of the Mathematical or Chemical variety), helping you build a solid foundation in Mathematics, or assisting you to grasp the Afrikaans language, I’m here to make learning engaging and effective.
