I am a qualified Teacher, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Higher Diploma in Education. I majored in Afrikaans and Nederlands, History and German. In addition, I am certified as an Assessor and Moderator.

I have more than 20 years Teaching and Tutoring experience in Afrikaans, English, E.M.S, Maths Literacy, Business Economics, Small Business Management and Management Communication. At this stage of my career, I think it is safe to say that Teaching is now a part of my D.N.A.

I consider myself fortunate to have taught at both Government and Private schools namely Esayidi F.E.T (Gamalakhe), Sir Pierre van Ryneveldt, Kokstad College, Merlewood Secondary, Port Shepstone Finishing School and Port Shepstone Islamic School.
COVID introduced me to online teaching and I absolutely love that I now have the ability to facilitate classrooms without borders.

I strive to create a positive learning environment by ensuring my lessons are interesting and enjoyable for my students.
Nothing gives me greater pleasure that seeing students making steady progress.
My lessons are interactive purely because I encourage student participation at every turn.
I also provide quality resources to ensure students are able to practice the concepts taught during the lesson.

When I am not teaching, I am usually Reading and studying the Bible.  I also grab any opportunity I can to marvel at nature, so I can often be found hiking the many Plains and fields of K.Z.N’s South Coast.
